This mod is an adapter cable which can be used to transfer data from an old Schneider CPC6128 to a modern PC. The ghetto part is that it is connected to the CPC's tape output and sends the data to the line-in of the PC's soundcard. The PC receives the data over a listening program which converts the signals.

	Since there was no monitor for the CPC it was hooked up to the PC's WinTV with a HF modulator.
	What a beauty: an almost completely functional Schneider CPC6128 from 1985! Back then the whole circuitry and the keyboard was built into one device. The black box is a HF modulator which connects a CPC to a TV.
	This is the adapter cable. There's a stereo jack for the soundcard on one side and two pins that go to the tape output of the CPC on the other.
	The "mainboard" of the CPC. On the right there's the proprietary 3" floppy, the PCB with RAM, Z80 CPU etc. lies under the metal plate.
	The floppy can store up to 180 KB per side. The mechanics are quite primitive so nobody was surprised when it stopped working.
	After a complete disassembly we noticed that the drive belt was fuxx0red. It was replaced by a rubber band (ghetto!). It runs perfectly again.

	This is a BASIC file that was transferred over the cable. The problem was that those CPC BASIC files weren't in ASCII format.
	The best BASIC program ever made on the CPC: "Earthworm Jim as Santa Claus"!! The original was a Santa Claus with adequate background music. The picture was changed later ;-) If you want to mod this yourself you need the right software as well. Here you can download the transfer tool TAPE2HDD and a good CPC emulator.
