Description
The noise filter was built because the PC speaker made crackling noises caused by voltage peaks when someone switched on the light. The noise filter was meant to eliminate those peaks. Its heart is a noise filter of an old power supply. |
 | This is a complete view of the noise filter. 230V are running through it although the case is made of an old Kodak slide box. To keep the case together it was fastened with duct tape. |
 | This is the front. Thanks to the transparent cover you can see the inside of the case. This is not necessarily beneficial because you can see how ghetto it is. The holes for the cables have been made with a soldering iron, a piece of string serves as a strain relief. |
 | You can see clearly here how the PCB has just been stuffed into the case because there wasn't much space for the power cable. |
