Description
This large SCSI controller has been lying around here for years because I don't know what to use it for. It should be on this website because its design is rather primitive compared to newer models.
Specifications
Manufacturer: | Ultrastor |
Model: | USC050-8-40A |
Year of build: | 1991 |
Interfaces: | 1x floppy, 1x SCSI 50pin internal, 1x mini D-Sub 50pin external |
|
| The controller is a full size ISA card. The number of used chips is noticeable (one chip is used 17 times). |
| Several data paths had to be overridden with wires. |
| A MOSEL chip...no idea what its purpose is |
| At least there's a mini D-Sub connector for external SCSI devices instead of the big D-Sub connectors. |
